Thank you for your interest in ElectraTect’s cannabis study. Our company is researching markers that may be used to determine recent cannabis use and is looking for participants like YOU!
The study consists of two research assistants visiting your home to administer breath captures, video recordings, and surveys both before and after you consume cannabis. The visit lasts approximately three hours in your home and includes specific time intervals for the data collection.
Qualifying study participants are asked to abstain from cannabis and alcohol use at least twenty-four hours prior to the study’s home visit. After completion of the study, your time and cannabis purchase is compensated through a $100 Visa e-gift card.
You may qualify if you:
are over the age of 21
currently use cannabis products including flower, vape, edibles, or drinks
are willing to purchase your own cannabis product. Cannabis is NOT provided.

What is the purpose of this study?
This study is looking at how we can determine recent use of cannabis products.
Do I need to buy a particular strain?
No, you can choose whichever strain you prefer.
Can I roll my own joint?
No, we ask that you purchase a pre-roll so we can maintain consistency across participants.
Do I need to buy something new if I already have cannabis products I need?
Yes, we do ask that you purchase a new cannabis product for this study. We require that you have the receipt and that the product is unopened or used.
Can my friends or family do the study at the same time as me?
Currently, we only have enough equipment to conduct one study at a time. However, friends and family are welcome to join you and be present during the study as long as they are not consuming the cannabis product you are using. However, they can contact us to be screened for eligibility if they are also interested in being a study participant on another date.
When and where will I receive my gift card?
Your gift card will arrive via the email address you provide and can be expected 3-4 days after your completed home visit.
Can I participate in the study multiple times?
Yes, you can participate in the study up to four times. However, you must complete the phone screening to determine eligibility whenever you want to participate again. You can only schedule your screening thirty days after completing your last home visit. Repeated participation opportunities are up to the discretion of the research assistants.
